Judge Prestley (Ret.) has decades of respected service as a Superior Court judge, an attorney, and as a Mediator/Arbitrator. She strives to provide excellent ADR services drawing on her considerable expertise in all facets of mediating and adjudicating divorce and family law matters. She has rendered decisions with respect to all the above issues and has consistently been given top ratings by parties and the lawyers appearing in front of her. She has an excellent track record of winning appeals that have established issues of law. Judge Prestley has a reputation for being a good listener, and a careful and diligent expert in divorce and domestic relations law. She is known as a practical, experienced hand that can break down complex factual issues ranging from involved matters in the financial realm, to sensitive child custody issues.
Prior to her appointment to the bench in 2000, Judge Prestley served as Connecticut's Child Advocate and as an Assistant Attorney General in Education, Child Protection and CHRO matters.
