Bio:

I have practiced primarily family law in Connecticut since 1972, with offices in Hartford and Middletown. and have served on the executive committee of the Connecticut Bar Association family law section. I am the Connecticut instructor of a family law software program that computes child support guidelines and tax information for family law practitioners. In addition, I am one of only 24 Hartford County attorneys helping divorcing parties resolve custody disputes by participating in a new judicial early intervention custody pretrial program. I am a retired military judge advocate general (JAG) officer and have provided legal advice to military personnel on a myriad of personal and military issues. I am a member and current co-president of the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group and am a member of Divorce Solutions of Connecticut (collaborative professionals) as well as the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce. If you are going through a divorce, you need to have professionals working with you who understand the financial and emotional issues and are prepared to work with you. Most divorcing parties do not want a trial; they want to resolve family issues without a “War of the Roses”. Although I have decades of litigation experience, I know there is a better way — through negotiation. I am trained in mediation and collaborative divorce; a way to divorce with respect and dignity.
