Bio:

Michael K. Conway was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1987 and has been a solo practitioner since 1991. He received a degree in Political Science from the University of New Haven and his Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University, Claude W. Pettit College of Law. His practice, for the past several years, has focused on Family Law matters. Attorney Conway represents parties in divorce matters, custody and visitation actions and parental rights matters. Moreover, he has represented clients in the Appellate and Supreme Courts in Connecticut throughout his career. Attorney Conway also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in divorce and custody matters. For over 30 years, Attorney Conway has volunteered his time to resolving family law matters by serving as a Special Master in Waterbury, Litchfield and formerly at the Regional Family Law Docket and the Bridgeport courts. While Attorney Conway still litigates matters in the state – he is a trained divorce mediator and a collaborative divorce professional. He serves on the Executive Board of the Connecticut Counsel for Non-Adversarial Divorce and is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Team of CT. He is a past Chair and Executive Committee Member of the Family Law Section of the CBA. Recognized by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys for exceptional and outstanding service in 2017-2018 as one of the 10 Best Attorneys in Connecticut, a recipient of the Hon. Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award (2018) and the Ct. Law Tribune Distinguished Leaders Award (2018). In addition, Attorney Conway is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, American Bar Association, Waterbury Bar Association, Litchfield Bar Association, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. He is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army in Waterbury.
