Taking the War Out of Our Words

As promised, CCND is pleased to offer a 3-part follow-up webinar on “Powerful Non-Defensive Communication™,”  May 12, suitable both for people who attended that webinar and people who missed it.

Friday, July 31, 12 noon – 1:30 pm  (Free for all participants):

In this webinar, offered FREE to all members and non-members, Sharon will present three formats for asking questions that promote productive conflict resolution.  She will also model giving feedback to others that enhances their ability to listen and collaborate.

Friday, August 21 & Saturday, August 22, 10 am – 1 pm each day:

This 2-session,  intensive training, which was originally planned as part of a full-day, in-person event at Quinnipiac University, will now be offered as a 6-hour webinar spread over two consecutive days, providing valuable opportunities for role play and deeper exploration of the concepts and techniques Sharon presented in her May 12 webinar.  For people who previously registered in advance for the May 12 full-day workshop, your fee for this program is already paid and you are already registered.  For those who paid only for Sharon’s May 12 webinar, the registration fee for this additional training is just $100 (CCND members) or $145 (non-CCDN members).  For those who did not attend the May 12 program, the fee for the August program alone is $195 (CCND members) or $260 (non-CCND members).  All registrants will receive a downloadable version of Sharon’s CD on Powerful Non-Defensive Communication™ (PNDC) Principles and Practical Skills.

Program Description:

We will begin by identifying four assumptions that have inadvertently been carried over from adversarial methods and have had a major influence on the development of “best ADR communication practices.”  Sharon will then review the pitfalls resulting from these false assumptions that undermine effective and efficient collaborative conflict resolution.  The majority of this training will focus on working with PNDC skills for 1) asking questions, 2) making statements, and 3) setting boundaries.  We will examine simple changes needed to eliminate the pitfalls and will practice the skill sets using relevant examples.  The PNDC skills are immediately applicable in both professional and personal relationships.
