CCND Presentation: “Getting to the Collaborative Finish Line” by Abby Golomb Cole, PhD

CCND is excited to be sponsoring “Getting to the Collaborative Finish Line”, a talk by Abby Golomb Cole, PhD, who will present data gleaned from a large sample of collaborative professionals on the reasons why their collaborations have failed.

The event will begin with hearty appetizers and cash bar followed by Dr. Cole’s presentation.

Abby Golomb Cole, PhD, Featured Speaker

Dr. Cole’s presentation offers valuable insights from her research on the factors influencing the outcomes of collaborative divorce teams. Through her data-driven analysis, attendees will become facile at identifying red flags in our clients and ourselves, improving our ability to screen for clients who will succeed in this process, and our capacity to identify and discuss team process within our professional teams.

Dr. Cole earned her Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her Doctorate from Michigan State University. After an internship and a post-doc at the University of California-San Francisco, she began her career at the Stanford University Medical Center. In 2006 she retrained as a mediator and divorce coach, and since then has specialized in non-adversarial divorce. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and founder of the Glastonbury Psychotherapy Network. She also belongs to the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals and the Connecticut Collaborative Divorce Group, where she served for two years as Co-President. From 2016-2018 she served as President of the Connecticut Council for Non-adversarial Divorce. She has been on CCND’s board from 2015 – 2024, chairing various committees over the years. She has completed almost 100 collaborative divorces and is very proud of her work keeping families out of court.
