This comprehensive training is designed to give each participant the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to mediate/co-mediate family matters. The training utilizes role plays & exercises in breakout rooms, lectures, demonstrations, videos, games and discussions in small and full group settings. Our multifaceted and practical training approach is designed to immerse you in every aspect of family and divorce mediation. You will gain practical experience, through immersive role plays, from conducting the initial meeting through scenario building and final agreement. You will gain case management skills and provided with tools, forms, techniques and practical advice to enable you to be a competent family and divorce mediator./ co-mediator.

Refresher: A participant who has previously completed a 40-hour Family and Divorce Mediation Training and would like to retake the training as a refresher.
Please note that all CCND events are subject to change or cancellation. CCND reserves the right to cancel the Training if there are fewer than 11 registrants by 1/15/2027. In the event of cancellation, registered participants will receive a full refund of any payments made. We will make every effort to notify attendees as soon as possible in the event of any changes or cancellations. Refund requests for any other reason will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to administrative fees, however after 1/15/2027 no refunds will be issued for any reason. No late registrations after 1/15/2027 will be accepted.

Louise Zito has mediated family and related matters for over 35 years and draws heavily on her Mediation experience in her Collaborative work. She takes great delight in training new mediators and learning from them and her colleagues Rosemarie Ferrante and Deborah Noonan. Louise also trains Attorneys, Family Specialists and Financial Specialists in Advanced Family Mediation and Collaborative topics. She has also trained in Meditation, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MSRB), Reiki and performance arts.
Louise is a Senior Fellow to the Quinnipiac School of Law Center on Dispute Resolution. She is an APFM Certified Advanced Practitioner and is a current Board member and Past President of CCND, soon to be an Advisory Board member.
She co-founded the Divorce Solutions of CT and the Ct Family Mediation Training Group. She is a member of the Connecticut Collaborative Connections, Academy of Professional Family Mediators, the International Association of Collaborative Professionals and the American Bar Association. Louise happily joined Dolan Divorce Lawyers in 2021 after many inspired and joyful years as a partner in Biller, Sachs, Raio and Zito. She now serves as Of Counsel to Dolan Family Law which allows her to continue Consultations, offer Second Opinions and engage in Impasse Resolution and Termination Consultations. She is proud to work with the many talented attorneys in this firm, and grateful for the opportunities afforded her in this position.
She has received numerous awards in recognition of her work in law, the community and family dispute resolution, and is most grateful and honored to be the recipient of the Howard Krieger Beacon Lifetime Achievement Award, 2021.

Rosemarie Ferrante, JD
Rosemarie Ferrante is a family attorney with 30 years of experience, focusing exclusively on non-adversarial divorce through mediation and collaborative divorce. She is the founder of The Divorce Mediation Center of Fairfield County, where she works with clients throughout Connecticut in both mediation and collaborative matters. She guides individuals and families through the restructuring process with clarity, structure, and compassion, helping them reach thoughtful, durable agreements that support long-term co-parenting and financial stability.
Rosemarie also serves as President of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND), where she leads statewide efforts to expand awareness and use of mediation and collaborative divorce as effective alternatives to litigation, with a focus on reducing conflict and improving outcomes for families and children.
In addition to her practice, Rosemarie is a trainer and guest trainer in advanced professional programs on mediation and collaborative divorce and has served as a guest lecturer in graduate-level courses. Her work emphasizes developing professionals who are equipped to support families through an interdisciplinary, non-adversarial approach. She is a frequent speaker on podcasts, webinars, and professional panels, where she shares her insights on reshaping the divorce process to better serve families.
Rosemarie is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), the American Bar Association (Family Law and Dispute Resolution Sections), the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Fairfield County Bar Association. She is also a member of Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Fairfield County and Collaborative Divorce Attorneys of Fairfield County.
Deborah Noonan, JD
Deborah Noonan, JD is a family law attorney with 38 years of experience who for the past 25 years has limited her practice to divorce mediation and Collaborative Divorce. After spending a number of years litigating divorces, and witnessing firsthand the harm contentious divorces cause families, especially children, Deborah decided to focus her family law practice on alternative methods of dispute resolution. As a mediator and collaborative attorney, Deborah works with clients to assist them in working out a settlement agreement in a cooperative and mindful problem solving process that places great emphasis on reducing conflict, keeping children the focus, and empowering the parties to control the outcome of their divorce. Deborah helps clients create quality solutions to meet their and their family’s individualized needs, bringing outside professionals, such as therapists and divorce financial specialists, into the process to promote a more holistic result. Deborah has had extensive mediation and Collaborative Divorce training and has presented on both topics at seminars and conferences.
As an extension of Deborah’s commitment to conflict resolution, she serves as a Special Master for Superior Court family matters, is a current board member and former co-president of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce; an advanced practitioner member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators; member of the Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Fairfield County; member of Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. and acts as co-chair of Collaborative Divorce Connecticut. Deborah is also a member of the Family Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Deborah has been named for several years as a “Connecticut Super Lawyer” in the annual Connecticut Super Lawyer Magazine, and as a “Top Lawyer in Fairfield County” in Greenwich Magazine.
Continuing Education Notice
We do not approve CLE, CE, or CEU credits for our programs. Each professional is responsible for determining whether participation may qualify for continuing education credit within their own profession and jurisdiction and for self-reporting as appropriate.
Certificates are not issued for CCND trainings except for the 40-Hour Basic Family & Divorce Mediation Training and the Introductory Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice Training. For all other programs, no certificate of attendance will be provided.
