Join us for CCND’s Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the elegant Elm City Club in New Haven. It promises to be a truly special evening as we come together to celebrate, honor, and learn.
We are proud to present the Howard Krieger Beacon Lifetime Achievement Award to Sidney S. Horowitz, PhD, a true pioneer and advocate for non-adversarial divorce and the protection of children and families. With over 40 years of service, Dr. Horowitz has touched every corner of family welfare work, from clinical practice to judicial training, shaping the way we support families through the challenges of divorce. A psychologist, teacher, mediator, and former CCND co-president, Sid’s lifelong dedication embodies the spirit of this award, which we renamed in 2019 in memory of our beloved colleague Howard Krieger.
Adding to the excitement, we’ll be joined by a panel of esteemed judges—Hon. Barry Armata, Hon. Barbara Aaron, Hon. Steven Dembo, and Hon. Leo Diana—who will engage in a lively and insightful Q&A, moderated by Dr. Horowitz himself. Judges will respond to questions submitted in advance, offering a rare opportunity for candid dialogue on issues impacting our work and the families we serve.
Don’t miss this memorable night of inspiration, connection, and community.
