Carolyn Swiggart has practiced family law for over 40 years in Southern Fairfield County. She has found that mediation and collaborative divorces make better and lasting results for families as they transition into separate households. Mediation also provides a measure of privacy to clients.

Carolyn is a member of The Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce and the Executive Committee of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Family Law Section. She has given seminars on family law topics through the National Business Institute, and has been retained as an expert for divorces occurring in France where the parties married in Connecticut. Clear, concise drafting is one of her skills, and she authored the chapter on jurisdiction in the LexisNexis Practice Guide Connecticut Family Law. She has experience with high net worth clients and sophisticated finances.

She is a graduate of Wellesley College and the University of Connecticut School of Law, and is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
