Maura Carley is President and CEO of Healthcare Navigation LLC, a national healthcare advocacy and medical insurance consulting firm assisting individuals, families and businesses.

Before founding Healthcare Navigation in 1999, Maura served in executive positions both in the hospital and insurance industries. She is a former Regional Director of Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation’s largest HMOs. She began her career as an assistant administrator at Yale-New Haven Hospital and later served as a Vice President at Stamford Hospital.

A 1975 cum laude graduate of the University of San Francisco, Maura received her Master’s in Public Health from Yale University in 1978 and completed an Executive Management Program through the Stanford University Business School in 1992. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a certified health insurance consultant.

Author of the best-seller Health Insurance: Navigating Traps and Gaps (2012), Maura has spoken on healthcare topics at programs across the United States and Canada and has been interviewed in articles for many national periodicals.
