Registration Fee:

Register on or before 12/18/22:
$1200 for CCND Member
$1300 for Non Members (Non member fee includes a 1-yr CCND membership.)

Register from 12/19/22 through 1/26/23:
$1400 for CCND Member
$1500 for Non Member (Non member fee includes a 1-yr CCND membership.)

$750 for Reviewers (those who have taken the 40-hour Mediation Training in the past).

Program Trainers
Louise R. Zito, JD:

Louise R. Zito is a collaborative attorney, mediator, trainer and divorce consultant, with over 35 years of experience. She is the founder of the Center for Divorce, Mediation and Collaboration (CDMC) and serves as Of Counsel to Dolan Divorce Lawyers, PLLC. She is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.

Louise has a deep appreciation for the team approach to resolving family matters and is available for consultations, review counsel, referrals, second opinions and impasse resolution. She is accepting a limited number of mediations and collaborative cases.

As “Of Counsel” with Dolan Divorce Lawyers, she is uniquely positioned to draw upon the expertise of other attorneys dedicated SOLELY to divorce, custody, pre/post nuptial agreements and other family matters as well as her CDMC resources.

Louise is a partner/founder of the CT Family Mediation Training Group, Senior Fellow of Quinnipiac University School of Law’s Center for Dispute Resolution, Co-chair of the Steering Committee of The Taskforce on Reimagining Family Dispute Resolution, Past President and Board member of the Connecticut Council for Non-adversarial Divorce (CCND). She is an APFM-Certified Advanced Practitioner and member of IACP.

Eva M. DeFranco, JD:

Attorney DeFranco practices exclusively in the areas of divorce mediation and collaborative divorce. Attorney DeFranco has practiced family law for over 36 years, is a member of the Family Law Section of the CT Bar Association, Past President of the Danbury Bar Association, a James Cooper Lifetime Fellow and has earned the AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell and the Super Lawyers credentials.

For over 15 years, Attorney DeFranco has been an active proponent of making mediation and collaborative law more accessible to divorcing spouses in CT. She believes that in the vast majority of cases, collaborative and mediation divorce processes offer a more dignified and supportive structure for spouses while paving the way for a healthier post-divorce life for their families. Attorney DeFranco is past President of the Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce (CCND) and has served as a board member since 2010. She is the founding member of the Collaborative Divorce Group of Western CT, a member of the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM) and the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners (IACP). She has served the CT judiciary for decades as a special master and has lectured extensively on various topics of divorce and mediation. She has been a part of the Connecticut Family Mediation Training Group since its inception in 2014.

Eva lives with her husband and two dogs in Sherman, Ct. She is an avid gardener, an amateur potter and a bad but happy golfer.

CCND’s 40-hour training is intended for attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial planners and meets membership requirements of CCND, the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), the Academy of Professional Family Mediators (APFM), and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
